   @ChristiJunior @arcana Anybody concerned with the fertility rate only needs to understand that every woman in the workplace is a woman not having children. A pattern between many countries is the more women are given access to high paying jobs, abortion, contraception, etc, the lower the fertility rate drops

     @Arkana @ChristiJunior @arcana and the fertility rate dropping *was a good thing* in 1800s UK, it allowed them to increase their standard of living substantially beyond bare sustenance and stopped them from having to conquer the world in order to find more lebensraum
