@graf >You don't even have to leave the building
We already had that and it was called "prison". This is kind of cool in the sense that it's not wasting the building, but that they can't have a proper cooking setup is abysmal. At least find a way to let them put fire suppression in so they don't have to eat restaurant slop and frozen dinners.

@graf yup, better use of space then becoming a walmart/amazon distribution center. so long as they dont put section 8s in em.

people need permanent housing, not more apartments

@HWABAG @graf Apartments/townhomes/condos are more efficient for space than a traditional home. The most efficient thing is to use existing infrastructure, and that's exactly what this is. IMO better to do this than let it fall to decay and be torn down and rebuilt as an Amazon warehouse.

@givenup @HWABAG @graf That's my view. I don't want to live in the mall-pod but more power to those who do, I guess.

You would have to assume too, that the fire suppression system is already there for the stores.

@KK954 @graf Probably, but maybe it's not granular enough. Not the best idea to have someone's small grease fire cause ruin to 12 apartments and the stores below when it could be put out quickly and locally.

@graf >giant indoor patio

Not too bad actually.
But you gotta live like a Jap.

@BowsacNoodle @KK954 @graf To be fair, most houses and apartments don't have much in the way of fire suppression. It's usually just smoke alarms and an out of date fire extinguisher under the sink.
I think the lack of stoves is more of a zoning issue than anything else. Local councils and government are always trying to prevent people from doing anything interesting. Unless it's real estate Jews trying to build Section 8 housing for foreign niggers.

@LivingSpaceStudios @KK954 @graf That's true as well. It probably is zoning. Mixed residential retail is a nightmare in many areas.
