  @DC5FAN @TeaTootler it's not even "away with it" - at this point for politically unpopular people this is past "getting away with it" - in theory being in a city is "safer" because there being so many people and cameras the chance of doing a killing and even leaving the city was thought to be 0. But now that a guy has successfully evaded the most expensive police force in the US and probably the world - that illusion is gone.

  Well, let's say if the gunman did this for personal vendettas, maybe those loved relatives are no longer in the picture.
  
  Just because they report he isnt identified does not mean he is safe. He should adopt paranoia that they have traced his route back to Atlanta which means the authorities have a little more information to go on than the public is privy to.

Since we know he arrived by bus, we know for sure he has left the city, since he isn't from there.
  
  What his goal would be if he is smart would be to get to an area where he can remove a disguise and let the trail go cold. That means outside of the city and at a time when there are no people, but a reason for him to be there.
  
  Like leaving a train late at night. Conductor wouldn't care, no people. Just leave train at X o'clock, walk to somewhere and remove mask.
