Watching #JudgeFromHell and it was good but... I feel uncomfortable watching the graphic violence 😅. I kinda miss old #Kdramas where it wasn't this violent. I saw two women graphically beaten up so far, children killed etc. I don't know why Kdramas have gotten more violent these days but I don't like it 🥴.
Also, am dreading the romance trajectory of this story. Not every kdrama needs to end in romance 😅

@kongakong is violence the only way to stand out tho? 😅 yea movies are an exception as they have always been violent but dramas are another matter altogether. I don't remember it being this soaked in blood, basically.

@liztai Maybe there is more pressure on a k-drama production to stand out these days to attract foreign streaming platforms to buy the rights? 🤔
I am also under the impression that the entertainment industry in Korea at large is quite comfortable with graphic violence. Think about the movie "OldBoy" (2003) which inspired so many subsequent martial arts movies.
