     4000 albums at 44.1khz is only 200gb. That's nothing. You could buy a 512gb ssd for $40 or less.

     @Wtdrisco oh hell no. All I pay for on the interwebz (short of shopping , of course) is Amazon music unlimited because it kinda make more sense to me than storing petabytes worth of mp3s locally.

     To stream, you only really need a hdd. 16TB Seagate for $150 on sale, and you can use the extra room for 360 degree panoramas of fat chicks.
