Two years ago, or so, my wife bought a fake Christmas tree. I was not a fan, but her argument that the real ones made a horrible mess and needed constant watering, was hard to refute. This year she put it up and was immediately disappointed. It did look a little pathetic, I admitted.
The thing is, she insists on me decorating the front porch with pine rope and lights, which have to be replaced every year. I’d rather skip the porch and buy a real tree.
