     @nikiboo@strelizia.net @hj@shigusegubu.club Well arcade racers should probably be fine but anything leaning more towards the sim category really needs some form of analog controls if you don't want to be at a huge disadvantage.
     
     Imagine driving a real car where the brake pedal can only be "on" or "off".

     @nikiboo @SuperDicq using keyboard keys instead of stick a-la hitbox controller is quite a uncommon occurence but is a thing nonetheless

     @SuperDicq @nikiboo you can have brake do gradual increase instead of instant. There's also optical and hall effect keyboards that can do half-press and such
     
     plus it's a game, you don't particualrly care about g-forces and such
     
     one game where most people use keyboards is trackmania

     @hj@shigusegubu.club @nikiboo@strelizia.net one game where most people use keyboards is trackmaniaI think the keyboard/controller split is about 50% nowadays. Also look at what keyboard players need to keep up (action keys and such)
