Asked this before, but never was able to get one. anyone have midi-controller recommendations?
Id like to have weighted keys, but more importantly I want it to be light and ideally more than 1 octave
been trying to find one that is just nice keys but this is outside of things I typically know anything about
any insight/suggestion is appreciated

@ology @macberg Really appreciate the first-hand accounts, to me that is the most useful thing
I should have been a bit more specific, I'll need to lug this around while traveling
Ideally fits in a backpack but I really do like playing piano two handed, I find it less engaging, like harder to get into a flow state

@macberg @ekis I love my Arturia Keylab49 mkII because it can talk to my eurorack and DAW. But it seems Arturia doesn't understand the term "weighted" very well. It's supposed to be "semi-weighted" but it is nothing at all like the https://www.akaipro.com/mpk249 that I used to own, which I would still recommend. The "semi-weighted" keys are noticeably heavier.

@ekis You might have already checked this one out, and it's not exactly what you asked for, but depending on how you play a controller the Arturia KeyStep 37 might fit the bill. If you haven't already, try to get your hands on one to feel it in your hands and demo it. It's not everybody's taste, it's got smaller keys, semi-weighted and isn't the most expressive thing on the market, but personally I was pleasantly surprised by the whole package (the full feature set).
