@MichaelAltfield You mean, people who say "that open hardware project isn't 100%, I'm not supporting it" type?
@MichaelAltfield I like it when an appliance I can just buy runs free software. I'm too lazy to set up Raspberry Pis or whatnot.
@kolev specifically I've been banned from some online FOSS communities for posting (on-topic) project updates from open-hardware projects
In these spaces, it's okay for a FOSS project to post an update and ask for donations.
But if you ask for donations *and* link folks to a store where they can buy your open-hardware devices, it's spam.
...because open-hardware projects are expected to give away atoms for free?
