   I guess more people are shopping online. This is a good thing in my opinion, as it makes it easier for store employees who have to work on Friday.

     @p1 That is true! Ironically, the only reason I was able to keep up with inflation was due to my bosses increasing my pay over the years via raises, plus issuing a cost of living adjustment (which I had been petitioning for years over along with other employees).

     @p1 I have to thank my fellow employees, as well as rival companies (apparently the companies feared losing talent to each other, so a weird pay raise war started).

     But honestly, the housing crisis is the biggest factor affecting inflation, & one sector driving up costs is hedge funds. They are buying up properties which is increasing housing prices: https://www.thesling.org/are-hedge-funds-and-private-equity-firms-driving-up-the-cost-of-housing-2/

     @p1 Normally I would be skeptical of your statement, but my country elected #DonaldTrump & he is receiving bad input from people who want to affect all of the fields you mentioned. 🙃

     We live in a crazy world right now, where the crazy ideas are now mainstream or being implemented by crazy leaders. 😂

     Just my opinion but another thing could be these big agendas. They want to do order out of chaos. Agenda 2030, 2050. Politically do everything downhill so the change will happen. Crypto, electric cars, carbon tax, new internet id, ect.

     @darnell I worked in an Amazon shipping center on my holiday break when I was a college kid, and although there's no contact with the public, there's still people working hard to deliver the holidays. But because it was a short term gig, I actually enjoyed the rush. And a lot of people pick up extra money from all the extra work created this time of year, even if more of it goes to the companies. It's January when they all get laid off that I feel bad for them.

     @Tanuki Oh, I did not know they laid all of those people off. I know people who work at Amazon as a second job, & it is rough (as they are constantly working). The closest I came to Amazon was working in retail & the corporate overlords decided that we had to handle Amazon returns. 🤦🏾♂️ 😂
