   @Di4na @joshbressers @webmink wouldn’t this generally require some kind of organized collective action which I think we can all agree with something that open source is not well known for? I somehow doubt all these open source people are gonna form some sort of collective bargaining unit and hire somebody who can actually talk to politicians.

   I could definitely see a lot of people stepping back from open source or not responding to issues or archiving projects. But actually communicating their needs and desires as a collective whole? I doubt that very much.
