So is a Mastodon installation going to be called an "age-restricted social media platform"? It seems have posts and to enable "online social interaction" between people, which is about all that's required. How about some random blog with comments enabled?

@samwilson Is there an exception somewhere for instant messaging services and the like? Or did they just go with the broadest possible definition which practically includes any website?

@nemobis Yeah, supposedly private messaging is exempt, but how that works for things like massive Telegram groups or whatever I don't know!
Their aim is to reduce bullying etc. so it seems that DMs should be part of it.
