Like, I dunno man, I told you during the entire run up to the election that if the Dems went through with the election they were running, this would be the result. I don't have the power to set the party platform, but I don't need a weathman to know which way the win blows. The people in charge how the power to drive further rightward, but they clearly CANNOT make enough people vote for it to win elections. So go ahead, double down, and lose again. It's not like I have the power here.

AnarchoNinaWrites (anarchoninawrites@jorts.horse)'s status on Thursday, 28-Nov-2024 03:22:16 JST AnarchoNinaWrites Either way, I've made it extremely clear two to four years in advance that I will not be voting for any more capitalist parties or candidates on a boiling planet with billions of lives hanging in the balance. Given that we both know the Dems are absolutely not going to abandon their commitment to enabling, empowering, and facilitating the capitalist plot to merc billions of people so a handful of nazi billionaires can keep stacking clams, please don't expect me to 'come around."
Not happening.

I hope to keep reading you.

AnarchoNinaWrites (anarchoninawrites@jorts.horse)'s status on Thursday, 28-Nov-2024 03:26:27 JST AnarchoNinaWrites @phaedral I just don't think it's helpful to get into a "who saw it was fascism first" pissing match out here; I'm 47 years old, and I was at both Seattle and Toronto. 10 years ago is when I started using the term "Weimar America" to describe how liberalism would fold into fascism before they'd agree to share/embrace antifascism. Who really cares? Yet, this seems to be a hobby on the left and I'd just rather not participate or waste my time reading about it in my replies.

Robert Link (phaedral@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 28-Nov-2024 03:32:36 JST Robert Link @AnarchoNinaWrites fwiw I'm 60, and cis-het white male, pretty much every privilege in the world except wealthy parents. My comment wasn't meant to be a pissing match. It was meant to be solidarity. I've struggled with my own "activist" life, struggled with the extent to which the "activists" I've worked with were stuck in the 1960s, struggled with the tacit acceptance of consumerist capitalism and fear of anything left of Ralph Nader.
As stated previously, I value your posts.
