@gunchleoc @badbede @frameworkcomputer @agnes @Blisterexe It was very easy to put together - it has been designed very thoughtfully. I went with the pre-built route but upgraded the storage and added a stick of RAM. Took me about 10 minutes tops :)

Actually no! @frameworkcomputer really thought of how to make set up for the computer as painless as possible.

@seanbala I imagine the software/firmware part was trickier. ;-)

@jmccyoung @badbede @frameworkcomputer
I can understand. I thought about the T480 but I was worried whether I would get one of quality.
I like Framework's philosophy and general culture. What pushed me over the line was the fact that as a matter of principle they do not do Black Friday sales. Nice to see some integrity.
I am now focusing on purchasing repairable devices going forward. Easier said than done but worth trying!

@seanbala @badbede @frameworkcomputer When I was in the market I looked at the documentation for the Framework diy version and it looked really good! Although then I ended up getting a refurb ThinkPad T480 through eBay and putting Linux on it for a slower but much cheaper solution.
