     @q66 Heh I did that one a bunch of years ago (wanted an install on an external HDD which windows could also browse) but IIRC caps and xattr didn't work back then.

     @darkphoenix @lanodan hm thinking about it there probably isn't really any technical reason preventing you from booting linux off fuse as long as you have initramfs around...

     @lanodan wasn't the only option the fuse implementation at the time? you can't really use fuse filesystems as root

     it's funny how this actually pretty much all works though

     a better choice than bcachefs
