    Origins and stuff...
Some of you know I started one of the first 30 podcasts in the world (Insomnia Radio). That's where the tagline "Kill Your FM" originated. But there was also a short-lived digital magazine called Kill Your FM!

We did album reviews, opinion pieces about the emerging podcasting industry, and interviews with indie bands. We even included MP3s in every issue, with the blessing of each band. AND its main distribution was the unlikeliest but coolest of platforms: The Sony PSP!

The PSP had an RSS Channel app, and there were websites collecting content that was being published formatted for the PSP's display. So imagine a free, complete music magazine coming to your handheld game console automatically, with music included. IN 2005! It was a great time, such awesome memories.

Here's the Table of Contents and Staff Page from Issue 4, and the "Media Package" that shipped with it.

(There might be some artifacts and wonky text -- I only have the published pages, which were a whopping 272x480 resolution! So I had to use Gigapixel to enlarge them a bit)

@killyourfm The PSP in general was tremendous. So many memories. Only the memory modules were a bit of a shit show. Somewhere I still have some PSPs.

@cpy It was SO ahead of its time, as was the Vita. I also have a ton of fond memories. And even though it was a proprietary format, I loved those damn UMDs.
