     @freeschool "marketplace" is a very mercantile concept. Ideas are a dime a dozen. I don't think any part of the multi-crisis is going to be solved by markets.

     Libraries are a public resource, a place for communities to come together, a treasure-trove of information.

     We already know what the problems are. Solutions to these problems are, by and large, understood on one level or another.

     We need community action, we need to be gradually improving the situation in whatever context we care about.

     @freeschool "marketplace" also implies competition, a zero-sum game.

     Thinking of everything as a zero-sum game is counter-productive. Ideas especially don't have to be in direct competition, often they can and should complement one another.

     A lot of our problems are not, in fact, zero-sum game-shaped. Although a lot of people try to make us think they are.
