   I think the main problem with kids these days is that they will just yank a USB stick out of the port without properly ejecting it to finalize any pending writes

     @mcc in this case it was an encrypted drive which makes me really Not trust it will actually work in all cases

     @0xabad1dea I don't know if I'm saying something you already know or something that will shock you but this is actually safe on Windows now (for drives classed as removable media)
