   I went for my annual skin check at the dermatologist today, which is always a huge relief! One mole removed, and otherwise everything was fine. I'm also grateful to have access to care, this being the US. 😩

   Please get your skin checks! #Cancer prevention is always worthwhile.

     @MaryAustinBooks i made an appointment today because my wife insisted. She seems to be worried about a few spots. The earliest appt is end of January, because our system is stupid

     @ATLeagle @MaryAustinBooks My mom asked her doctor about a mole once. It didn't look like anything suspicious at all; but, solely on a hunch*, the doc excised it & sent it for an biopsy.

     It was a Stage 4 Melanoma.

     Please get your spots looked at.

     *this took place in a very different medical payments era.
     **Mom received a great deal of very aggressive treatment, made a complete recovery, & died almost half a century later at the age of 94.
