@ivesen IIRC WD Red (not Red Pro) is SMR drive. I would say "never, never, never" buy any SMR drives. -

@roytam1 I bought a bunch of wd red's before that became well known, I'm fairly sure they're not smr drives -

@ivesen it depends on brand. Toshiba's enterprise grade drives are very competitive. -

@roytam1 from what I can tell the enterprise drives are cheaper than consumer drives anyway at this point
