   @eris @sun I don't think Fediblock is the biggest problem with Fedi. I think one of the big problems is something Moon has been dealing with lately, it's a pain in the ass to run.
   
   You also can't make real friends here bc people are too paranoid to call, hang out IRL, or anything like that bc alt tech people of all stripes are paranoid schizophrenics.
   
   That was fine when I was 21. I'm not 21 anymore. I want friends I make online to translate into real socialization.

     @J @eris i wanna say skill issue because i've met upwards of 60 people at this point in small meetups all over the planet. but i admit its hard to do that while maintaining privacy and there are people I've wanted to meet that can never get over the fear and will never meet in person. so you're right.

     @sun @eris I came in with the Kiwi Farms retards in 2019 and the people after them were all alt right or anime right retards. Maybe the older ppl you've known forever or more normal but it's almost impossible to make real friends with either of those crowds.
     
     Whereas I can go into almost any community on Twitter and hit them up we'll hang out on vacation or smth. I can't even remember the last time I had a girlfriend that I didn't first find on Twitter or Instagram, for that matter. Near zero chance of that happening here.
