     @augustus @sun look there was a time without massive state funded science, no peer review and no huge expensive experiments when people discovered tons of stuff that made our life better, that's why we need all those things NOW to invent more things.

     @sun @lain when I was a kid we'd go up to the abandoned slag heap and find big rocks and push them off the cliff and watch them tumble down and smash into each other. tfw I was doing particle physics without knowing it
