     @DrSuzanne So for a free vector illustration software outside of Adobe Illustrator, you really only have Inkscape https://inkscape.org/

     Affinity Designer https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/designer/ is another great alternative but it's not free (but It's not subscription based so only pay once for all features)

     @sand good question. I want to design my own characters, which I do in another app, to add to text to and then make t-shirts. Canva was great for the last two parts, but I dislike their business practices.

     @DrSuzanne There should be tons of YouTube videos online to help you through it.

     I've been using Adobe Illustrator for over 15 years (including 4 years in school) and it still surprises me sometimes.

     @sand thank you. This is the one I already downloaded. It’s quite complicated but maybe I’ll pick it up slowly over time.
