   that's why I keep getting talked to in english when i'm in france! because I have colored hair and piercings. I get dirty looks everywhere, multiple people in cafes have basically declined to talk to me, I've been ignored in shops and followed by security in grocery stores :) like it sucks out there!

     and in her interview she says "I actually see a lot more people with natural-hued hair here, and people have plainer clothes and a skincare routine that's much more natural" and. yeah french people dress in a boring way because everyone is extremely judgemental! you can just say that!!

     lol some au pair from cali that lives in france made a tiktok saying that she got sniffed out as a foreigner all the time by what she wears, and ended up interviewed by insider

     @anna london and berlin have been good in my experience, but yeah other places are very conservative when it comes to those kinds of differences
