     @cell Here I blame webkit-gtk switching to Skia, before that the anti-aliasing was better. :D
     
     Also why is that screenshot showing something like い and not り?

     @lanodan @cell the strokes can be disconnected in many characters depending on the font, katakana リ does the same disconnection

     @eal @lanodan jp sensei taught us to write it disconnected so that's how i do it handwritten
     however for り specifically i write it closer to katakana リ to make it easier to differentiate from い
