I understand the politics at play in appearing friendly to the USA at a national level, but any recruiter in a LGBTQIA friendly nation that is not at least shooting a discreet shot at queer American high-demand scientific, medical, and tech professionals is missing a huge opportunity.

On paper, we should be in high-demand, but we also have 2 kids (11 & 13), a mortgage, etc, and moving to another country is an enormous upheaval (as you well know). We'd need some degree of job equivalency waiting for us to avoid massive disruption or a dance with poverty on the other end. Even *with* a guarantee of jobs, it would be incredibly hard, but we'd try, I think

The US is just becoming an unpleasant place to live with a lot of disadvantages compared to other western nations. The amount of brain drain that the US might experience depending just how off the rails things get here could be extreme.
