   i just realized i always have the following workspaces always open
   
   fedi
   irc
   mail + calendar
   matrix
   browser
   
   so that's half of the usual 10 workspaces most people bind
   
   and i get only 5 to spread for code editor, steam (necessary for my job), logs, and other misc things
   
   that's not enough...

     @navi Heh meanwhile here it's typically:
     - terminal (one window per machine)
     - browser, transmission-remote
     - mpv
     - imv/zathura/mcomic when long-lived enough to be moved from terminal workspace

     @navi Well I'm not really better. I often end up with about 20~30 tmux tabs (some of those split in 2~3), only exception is on my mail server with just 3 tabs (mutt, tail -f /var/log/messages, shell for random commands and system updates).

     @lanodan i have severe untreated adhd and often times have 3 different code projects open at once in different workspaces, and sometimes 4 different browser workspaces where i was searching different things...
     
     sometimes one project causes me to open so many windows (steam + game + logs + code + docs + build) that i split one project into two or more workspaces

     @navi Well I also very rarely tile, like I could end up with a bugged sway stuck in tabbed mode and not notice it for probably a month.

     i don't use tmux and don't really like it, because it makes me now need to have two different window management keybinds in mind, one for sway/gui-compositor and one for the multiplexed
     
     so my brain is like "if sway already tiles, why should i tile my tiles"
