   I'm wondering if I could just make an iso that containes the update-initramfs binary from another system and just copy it to here.

   Otherwise I need to boot a live cd just to fix something the Ubuntu broke.

     @splitshockvirus @tfed @nishi Also try running busybox, maybe it's there and has vi and other shit compiled in but without symlinks.
