The Democratic Party is a status quo party that is dedicated to preserving capitalism, whereas the DSA is a reformist party that strives towards the goal of democratic socialism. I don't really like either (the democratic party supports the status quo that I hate and the DSA doesn't go far enough due to its reformist nature), but I favor the DSA over the Democratic Party because it's closer to my political ideals.

I'm gonna be honest I don't understand how the DSA is any different from the Democratic Party. Their policies look identical. I wouldn't call those positions "socialist" either...
