   Didn't there used to be some trick to force everyone to unfollow your Twitter account? My twitter accounts only exist to prevent name-squatting but it would please me for them to have 0 people following them.

     @jwz Maybe block all the people you follow + protect your tweets? Since you're not using the account for anything and this would prevent people from following you.
     
     I have no idea if there is any other way to do it tho.

     @jwz I have seen some people delete their accounts then create a new one in its place. (Optionally rename your old account if you want to keep some historical record). The timing required to not get taken over seems risky to me, and not sure how much grace period an account sticks around for. Essentially, name-squat yourself after deletion.

     I can manually remove a follower on Twitter:
     Profile -> Followers -> (click on one follower) -> More ("...") -> Remove this follower.

     Presumably, this can be automated.
