@TrevorGoodchild My contempt for Trump is based on his cowardice in refusing to pardon the January 6 protesters he goaded into storming the Capitol. He failed the test.
That being said he is a greater political candidate than Reagan, if only because of what he managed to overcome.

But Mitch is doing his best to screw him before he even gets in.. hopefully the process to remove a senate majority leader isn't as much of a pain in the ass as speaker of the house, just a party issue? Don't have to involve the Bolshevik wing?

Cornyn is a shitty choice as a majority leader but he is up for re-election in 2026, so he can be pressured somewhat. Thune is safe until 2028, and he really despises cheeto man

@TrevorGoodchild The Senate is the final boss. However current immigration law is quite draconian and Trump can indeed force 40 million to self deport at speed. The other factor is that Team B means business and even McConnell bent the knee, endorsing Trump.
