   In interviews, undecided / low-engagement voters simply didn’t believe that things Trump clearly did were his fault — or didn’t even believe they’d happened.

     @inthehands I had a distressing number of conversations with people who just flat-out did not believe that Trump said what he said (“he was quoted out of context”, “he's just being bombastic”), or did what he did. I'm not sure how to get past such a fundamental divide as a disagreement over basic reality, events from recent history, and objective truth.

     Agreed, and I think it’s even worse than that: they aren’t even getting Fox News; they’re getting Russian memes and weird neighborhood rumors.

     @inthehands what percent of Americans read any "press", paper or online? Fox News and/or social media are the information conduit for a huge percentage.
