😢Dammit! The Penguin was too well written! And too well acted! Everyone did the damn thing. Especially Farrell, Miloti, and Feliz, but really, the whole cast and writers' room. They did it too well! I really forgot that I was watching a show about a literal super villain.

    That finale...

They get all your sympathies pointed in the wrong direction, and then blam.

I love-hate everyone involved with the show, and hope they choke on their well deserved Emmys. Brilliant. Awful. But recommend.

@mekkaokereke i don't often recommendations like, "it's horrible! I'm so mad! You *have* to watch it."

@mekkaokereke What an achievement! It was such a gut punch. I loved Vic. "You are family to me." But what does Oz do to family? Ask his brothers.

@mekkaokereke *sigh* FINE. I’ll give it a go.

I’ve been on the fence from the start. Amazing makeup! Actors I love! It’s going to disappoint me, isn’t it? Let’s wait to see if it gains any heavy praise or scorn.

@mekkaokereke It is one of the best series I've watched in a long time. The back story is excellent. The villany is consistent throughout. I watched the finale twice back to back because I wasn't sure I saw what I saw. Collin Farrell and Christin Milloti give tour de force performances; all the 🌷🪻⚘️🌻. Farrell was also excellent in Sugar on AppleTV+.

@mekkaokereke refreshing to see an actor portray a character so well you keep forgetting which actor it is…. I literally kept having to remind myself which role Colin Farrell was playing

@mekkaokereke I've actually managed not to see Colin Farrell or Christin Miloti in anything else before now. They and Rhenzy Feliz were incredible!

And the show was so well written that I forgot my pledge to swear off sociopaths. In terms of quality (and rabblerousing), The Penguin is to the DC universe what Andor is to Star Wars.

@JamesWidman @mekkaokereke It's true though, because the story reflects a lot of ugly human truths
