I'm just gonna say it, Jon Stewart is on my shit list.
Unlike before he left TDS I'll admit I only watched him a few times. But he was so angry and lashing out at Democrats that I just couldn't.
I've said MANY times that I've got more complaints than most people with the Biden Administration.
But what I saw from Stewart was basically just regurgitation of Chris LaCivita talking points mixed with his own self righteousness.
I just don't need that misguided privilege in my life right now.

Dems were not just fighting Republicans tho. They were up against a global disinformation campaign from a criminal cabal of oligarchs. When I view through that lens, it’s amazing they came close. Least surprising is Arab and Latin communities voting Trump #stoneytakes

@wendinoakland @GuyDudeman this. But these men are all white supremacists using misinformation to push white supremacist propaganda in the hopes of triggering a white supremacist reaction out of people.
And millions of white supremacists didn't need the propaganda.
Millions of others bought it for one reason or another.
It's absolutely the misinformation but the misinformation is a tool and a tool with particular characteristics that were very racist and transphobic.

It was enough to support the rampant racism and sexism in America, with television news whining about economic problems, caused mostly by corporate greed, and TFG exacerbating the FUD - they swept the election.

@GuyDudeman @philip_cardella I imagine we could have done better, but anything other than a win would leave us dissatisfied. Since we’re already suffering, I’d like to avoid being punitive to my side. Enormous efforts, really unfathomably insurmountable forces, were at play in disrupting the distribution of honest information as we moved toward and through the election. Pointing fingers at a few outliers, without understanding the larger disinformation ecosystem, isn’t freaking fair.
