     @puniko @mametsuko @jeder @ielenia yeah, I think none of the Slavic languages have articles except for Bulgarian?

     Definite and indefinite articles definitely aren't easy to learn. They're also used differently across languages. For example, Piccadilly Circus is English comes without any article, but Alexanderplatz in German always uses a definite article even though they're basically the same thing

     @schratze@todon.nl @mametsuko@mk.absturztau.be @jeder@miau.jeder.pl @ielenia@ck.catwithaclari.net ye, they sure are not easy to learn, i agree. especially when it comes to those nuances you mentioned. but as a general rule of thumb, the specificity should work in most cases, no?
