Is there a way for a pro sports franchise to throw in the towel and forfeit the rest of a lost season?
Asking for a Chicago Bears fan.

@davidtoddmccarty Your Eagles may have their troubles but they are least competitive, or are able to take advantage of poor play by their opponents.
My nephew's high school team plays with a better fundamental knowledge of the game.
Now, if the Eagles lose today I feel for you with Prescott out for a spell.
@WarnerCrocker I’m old enough to remember when they were a force of nature. Guess it’s been a minute. We’re getting ready to play Dallas in Texas. Favored by 7.5 pts, which seems overly generous.
I think the only reason we have a winning record is because of our RB Barkley. The team is a hot mess.
Our head coach is like a coked up hedge fund guy coaching his kid’s little league team.
@davidtoddmccarty My wife thought I might be ill. I couldn't even muster the energy to yell at the screen today
@WarnerCrocker I have given up on this season. I’m watching but with zero confidence. It’s just background noise, but it won’t stop me from waiting around for it. Big dumb animals that we are.
@WarnerCrocker My brother just told me that Dak was out, his reasoning for the betting line.
“I’m sure we’ll stumble across the end zone by accident often enough to win,” I told him.
I swear we’re trying to lose and can’t quite manage it most of the time.
@davidtoddmccarty It might at least offer some form of entertainment, but our Chicago sports writers have become such gomers for access that you don't even get fun coverage of bad coverage any longer, much less good writing.

@WarnerCrocker Bears. White Sox. It’s rough being a Chicago fan these days, eh?
