   @monkey it's such a classic. the internet used to be so much better. things were just like, cute and funny and shit. sure there was more wild west and degen shit but like, not this constant anger bait shit that all these social media that now make up like 90% of the internet nowadays are centered around in order to make data harvesting money (since humans are most tuned to hate and rage because are the strongest emotion and thus highest interaction)

     @sun @monkey the worst thing is that gaining new users is so hard in niche sites because, most these people are going to be used to the anger bait sites, and its chicken and the egg, people arent going to go to a place with no activity and you need people for activity. i've struggled with this alot in my own ventures and it's really difficult. because to get these users, they're typically used to just, that, anger bait, and that's not what you want to see. it's a serious problem

     luckily its my autism fixation so as long as theres still something i will still love them and seek them out
     but they wont have much activity, as thats what the masses avoid now
     my childhood was spent on this shit, bring that shit back
     fuck even 8chan is gone now, forums are dead, personal websites are mostly gone, what the fuck. its only big trash like 4chan is mostly trash now, kiwifarms was always trash because its run by a lolcow, etc etc
