Individually, b/c Musk is incredibly self-destructive, it has made it easier to publicly criticize him, and a growing number of people see how much of an idiot he is which is progress, but..

@falcennial Hopefully, by pointing out they are openly and explicitly betting on a future where not only do they fail at stopping ecosystem collapse, but they also don't think each other can solve the problem either

@ekis Generally speaking, we don't really "vote with our dollar" and tech (and other) corporations often aren't beholden to consumers at all. That's a lie capitalism told people to divert us rubes from political activism and it's entirely related to the idea that corporate PACs are "free speech" for corporations. Capitalism will not liberate us from capitalism.

They are all pseudo-technologist, they happen to be good at playing one of US required new public figure occupation: rich man
That way the rich finally have a avatar, the power from media was not enough, they needed to inject characters representing them into the story-line that way if the peasants revolt they have someone to hang that is not actually important
