     @lucy @kaia @teratology CDU/SPD made gay marriage possible in germany and neither are conservative parties. SPD/GREEN/FDP did the exact same things that the coalitions before did, and this will now continue, but instead of habeck's buddies it'll be merz's buddies who get some extra cash.

     @lain @kaia @lucy @teratology Christian and conservative policies don't necessarily align, f. ex. catholics are theologically anti-capitalist and ecologist. Also basically all parties are liberal, just with different cultural LARPs attached to it (CDU = pronouns le bad, Greens = pronouns le good).
     Orange man basically ended liberalism as "Status Quo" as it's no longer a viable strategy for the majority vote. I hope The Left understands this and prioritizes hardcore Bernie-Style economic populism
