Why does the Democratic Party apparatus (consultants, operatives, and large donors) share stories of woman dying in states preventing them from getting access to healthcare

    This apparatus runs executive branch,
They have power, and pretend they can not use it

Abortion rights were via legal ruling, now overturned

We never created abortion legislation, so executive orders work

Biden could have used an executive order, saving lives right now

    What if changed later?
    who cares? save lives now

      • The Liquid Clear (Bree D)

@liquid_clear I think this is the strategy that the left should be using when engaging with electoral politics

As you identified, conservative and libertarian candidates have been utilizing this strategy for some time now. The "blue-dog" democrat is this, a cryptorepublican or more accurately cryptoconservative

Using whatever party has the district or region gerrymandered seems sensible

And its not like lying about what you will do in office, and doing something different is illegal

@aapis The pattern that has consistently bothered me, and I bet it will happen this time

When Republicans take power, talk about how much everything cost goes out the window, and passing their heinous budgets if I remember correctly go through often within days

Democrats take power, talk about everything costs to much does a B&E and won't leave you alone for four years

And their budgets are often started from a position of compromise, pushed further right, then the govenment shuts down

@ekis this is also why they lost. When republicans win, they implement their agenda. When dems win, they bicker with fascists on CNN until the next election cycle and accomplish nothing. The promise of another chance is the only coherent message they ever sold. Actual change is someone else’s platform.
