Wrath (eiswald@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 09:50:51 JST Wrath @gentoobro @sickburnbro @givenup Without self doxxing I know a lot about this. The company I founded is working with some of the same people and working independently and adjacently on the R&D in this endeavor. The logistics of scale and feed in particular are where the issues arise because I'm running a lavish quality chicken meat company that now supplies homes, stores, and restaurants.
Last year (still this year) we did 8,000 something birds. The planning for next year hinges a few things. We like to keep the labor close and in house. I've personally done ALL of the farm labor three years running. That means about seven full months of sun up to sun down, every single day, no days off labor. No matter how sick, injured, or tired I've been. It gets done because it has to be done.
Being able to automate even more of that labor would be a Godsend and open up far ranging possibilities. There's a good chance we're going to end up contacting Massie directly at some point sooner or later.
Our vision and direction could divert because our goals are not the same.
At the risk of getting lost in an autistic rant and revealing WAY too much I'll stop, but this is fucking awesome. -

Bread up, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 10:07:21 JST Bread up, Bro @iwetoddid a big cost in chickens in feed. If you are just dumping commercial feed at them, yeah it's hard to beat the cost of industrial raised. -

Bread up, Bro (sickburnbro@poa.st)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 10:10:24 JST Bread up, Bro @iwetoddid yeah, so that's what you need to think about - what are you looking to do? If you want to have *higher quality* meat then it's a lot easier to figure that out ( but harder to measure ) -
