   @darrell73 life at the 5th percentile in the west is significantly better than life at the 95th percentile for about half the world's population. It's only inevitable that people will attempt to get in any way they can.

   Here's hoping every country is rich a hundred years from now.

     I think most of the illegal immigration problem is our fault because of our hell-bent anti-Communist policies of the 1960-1990 Cold War period where we gave billions of dollars to Central-American dictators who spent that money on death squads and thugs who repressed their own people. Now there are still just millions of poor desperate people just looking for a place where they can survive. So now America is simply reaping the harvest it deserves from what it sowed many years ago.
