    Just to spell out what “poke at them” means:

    Think how the global right used fault lines on the left over Palestine to weaken the anti-fascist coalition and demotivate voters. Then think about how this election didn’t turn Trump gaining any support, but on oppo not turning out.

    •That• is what exploiting a fault line looks like. That’s what this advice means. Fault line among the fash? Crack it open. They’re already doing that to us.

      The MAGA cult is built upon a myriad of special interests that traditionally don't play well together. Find the fault lines. Poke at them relentlessly. Pass it on.

      And please, please, for the love of god, do not come into my replies with your personal diatribe about who is to blame for that fault line existing in the first place. Not useful.

      Just leave that blame aside for 2 seconds — there are plenty of other moments for that — and notice the strategy. The fash don’t care where the fault line came from; they just use it once it’s there.

      That’s the specific lesson of my post.

      @MissGayle @inthehands Maybe that's a personal limit. Sending texts like that to people of colour might make your point, but it's also a microaggression on individuals who don't need it (and probably already get plenty). Even if they're staunch Trump voters, they'll find out soon enough.

      I'd rather focus on diehard conservatives and interest groups

      @MissGayle
      I want to underscore what @mercedesallen said here. That text message is trolling, harassing, injuring, terrorizing. That’s not hitting the fault line. It’s hitting people.

      Compare that, for example, to the geotargeted online ads from the same source that told people in highly Jewish zip codes that Kamala would abandon Israel, and told people in highly Islamic zip codes that Kamala would always side with Israel. •That• is hitting the fault line.

      @MissGayle @inthehands I don't mean engaging in discriminatory efforts against minority groups. That hurts the wrong people.

      Get in their circles and make them want things that hurt each other. "Free speech" is one area of contradiction that we can make particularly fraught for them.

      @mercedesallen @inthehands

      ????

      How is encouraging people to abandon the GOP and christianity "engaging in discriminatory efforts against minority groups?"

      That statement doesn't even make sense.

      @inthehands @mercedesallen

      Today african american kids in universities got messages telling them to report to the plantation, so that would seem like an obvious point to start.

      https://thecrimsonwhite.com/117349/news/black-students-receive-racist-text-messages-after-trumps-win-part-of-apparent-nationwide-trend/

      If they had any doubts about how christians & republicans view black people, this should put that to rest.

      Any african american christians or republicans should die of shame & hear their ancestors crying over the fact they've been "carrying water" for their enemies. (A southern expression)

      Revisiting this point about fault lines in the fascist camp: they seem to be in strong agreement that they're seeking a white christian supremacy. They're very much not in agreement about who counts as white or christian.
