cobratbq - cranky-by-design (cobratbq@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 02:37:46 JST cobratbq - cranky-by-design @freemo you know, I got a nice anecdote on that. In the middle of the ongoing harassment campaign, when we were at the height of throwing statements at me day and night that were clearly intended as attacks and (false) accusations, there was the occasional disconnected comment.
More than once have I seen statements like "you know, that's just someone being kind", which was interpreted as manipulation of some kind or another. So, no, even just being kind isn't acceptable anymore. -

cobratbq - cranky-by-design (cobratbq@mastodon.social)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 02:45:57 JST cobratbq - cranky-by-design @freemo not what I was trying to conclude with, but close. I think I don't have the right word for it. I meant tonsay that 'just being kind' by itself creates suspicion in today's society. ("Acceptable" in that sense. Am I expressing it any better this time?)

🎓 Doc Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱 (freemo@qoto.org)'s status on Friday, 08-Nov-2024 02:45:57 JST 🎓 Doc Freemo :jpf: 🇳🇱 @cobratbq I wasnt criticisng you, I know what you meant. All im saying is that if society sees unconditional compassion as suspicious that should not at all effect a good persons desire to be compassionate without condition, if he is truly a good person. But it is sad society would respond in such a way.
