@hmm_cook and! their reaction isn't your fault. It's not on you to anticipate every and any possible reaction, and you *cannot* (I can't stress this enough) communicate in such a way that you will 100% get your desired outcome or reaction from the other person.
Communication is a two way street. A interaction between sender and receiver. It can go wrong at *either* end, and sometimes there's no one to blame at all.
