I literally *cannot* allow myself to be dragged into the pits of despair and inaction. That could cost me my life. Obviously today is a sad day and we're scared, disappointed, disillusioned. But I really think some of you, particularly white liberals, are performing a learned helplessness that does nothing but place a larger burden of labor onto people like me. I saw this same thing 8 years ago. Do your fair share this time, please.

Andrea, but a scary version (thiswomanswerk@blacktwitter.io)'s status on Thursday, 07-Nov-2024 00:34:03 JST Andrea, but a scary version As a genderqueer Black person with the capacity to give birth living in Texas, I'm finding a lot of you white liberal cishets to be overly dramatic. You just woke up in the same country we had yesterday. Instead of despairing that you don't know what to do, pull your self together and get in where you fit in. Stop depending on others to do your political work for you and become involved beyond telling people who they should vote for every 4 years.
