   We've made friends with the immigration lawyer who helped us get permanent residency in #Canada, so we asked if he wanted to get together.

   His reply? Not for weeks. Why? He's overwhelmed with US citizens trying to move to Canada because of our election.

   Even if Trump loses, he said, because there will be so much uncertainty.

     @br00t4c @GottaLaff Canada would probably be more convenient but if shit really goes south I'm thinking Italy. There are lots of options once one gains resident status in a Schengen country... e parlo abbastanza bene l'italiano. Unless Canada has plans to close the border to keep the crazies out it's too close. 🤬

     @dkbgeek @GottaLaff 🤣 Many Canadians are very welcoming, friendly souls but we definitely have our own "Build That Wall" contingent who will become *much* louder and even less charitable than they ususally are if the GOP/reich-wing chaos monkeys get their wish and manage to cause mass disruption after the election.
