   Gurman's latest missive about the Mac mini as a gaming console has me thinking:

   HAHA no it doesn't.

   Apple is never, ever going to make a system that game developers, publishers, and gamers will *ever* flock to.

   Doesn't matter how capable the hardware is or well-tuned the software is. Apple changes its mind, deprecates APIs, and ratfucks the market. It's happened over and over again.

   Apple is not now, and never has been, a company that takes games seriously as part of its core mission.

     and videogame consoles used to completely change hardware architecture every generation but they still made games 🤷

     @mischievoustomato @flargh The Nvidia thing works fine, I've played games with it but I bet it's terrible if you have high latency and not close to their datacenters

     @feld @flargh because it's where the market is at. Anyway, I saw a new thing called "Whisky" and people seem to be running stuff like Genshin Impact and ZZZ thru it which means I could actually move to a macbook now
