     @Grumblesock @help_helper I remember when I was a kid, we used to get post cards from relatives in Germany and Austria. Most of the postcards had cute pics of hedgehogs...like 50 to 60 years ago...wish I still had them.

     I love them so much. 3/4 of my life has been lived in European hedgehog territory. We've got a real problem here in England right now. I and another fellow hedgehog enthusiast here on fedi have had all of our hedges just up an vanish since May. I had four he had perhaps 5, a night until then.
     
     It seemed that foxes got all of mine but perhaps not since his just stopped showing up all of a sudden too. It's not good at all. ☹️

     This morning I was thinking about this homemade potato soup my great grandma used to make for me with potatoes and carrots from her garden. I realized I have both of those things from my own garden so went to the store to get celery, chicken broth and some cheese to make that soup for dinner. If it turns out good (it will) I’ll poast recipe later.
