I'm not content warning this, it's just a #woman in her underwear. Also, that would be irony

This is #Tehran’s Islamic Azad University on Nov 2

She was assaulted by #Iran's #morality #police because her #hijab was "improper"

    So she just stripped

She was arrested and I don't think it will go well for her. Iran's weak, insecure, moronic hangups over #women's clothing is vicious cruel and violent. They kill women for showing their hair. It's all so fucking stupid

'...a student group on Telegram, reported details of the incident, saying that the student disrobed after being harassed for not wearing a headscarf and having her clothing torn by security forces.

During the student's arrest, she was subjected to severe physical assault, including her head striking either a car door or a pillar, which caused heavy bleeding. “Blood stains from the student were reportedly seen on the car’s tires,” the report noted.'

I vehemently disagree. This was entirely the fault of the disgusting pig #DonTheCon. He did not include the Afghan government in the deal. He released 5000 Taliban fighters. He sabotaged the presidential transition so the Biden Administration had no information. Then the Afghan government simply bailed at the beginning of the transition. But the Taliban have made Afghanistan into a horrific place for women and that is 100% on them. NOT THE USA or BIDEN.

That day was never going to come because the schedule that was agreed on made an orderly removal impossible. Could Biden change the schedule and rescind the deal that #DonTheCon made? I don't know. I'm sure that would have created massive issues in itself.

@lin11c @benroyce Again, I don't think, the last year of that or so is entirely to blame for this. Trump has been president for two years. The US has been there way longer. And they didn't manage to stabilize the country significantly. They just held everything at bay until they left. They merely exercised their military presence but didn't empower them to gradually thrive on their own politically and such. When was this day meant to come, hadn't it been forced to come sooner?

They did not want the US to leave and were terrified of the consequences for very good reason.

@lin11c @benroyce Yes, it has become worse, but the US didn't manage in all the time to make this work without them. That's the huge problem. "Give a man a fish" thing. They were expected to leave some day. But that day should have been a day where they could leave in good conscience.

Incredibly disturbing and cruel and I think we must help Iranians to free themselves. Iran has a horrible violent leadership. Another Arab Spring? This woman was probably murdered.

@lin11c @benroyce That hugely depends on what shape or form said "help" has. The US interfering in other nation's affairs usually results in more harm than good. Also, a coup d'état might sound like a logical thing to do, but often times leaves a power vacuum, which is then filled by an even more violent group of people who cease the opportunity to step in. So, whatever help it is, it has to be empowerment, not overpowerment.
